Clinical Trials

Dr. G. M. Prasad, MD, has set up this research unit with an innovative approach to fulfil the increasing demand for quality healthcare in India. We have undertaken many clinical trials in the field of diabetes and successfully completed multiple Phase III and Phase IV trials, with ongoing global trials supported by the required infrastructure and a dedicated team.

What Phase III and Phase IV Trials Involve

Phase III trials generally evaluate a treatment’s effectiveness and monitor side effects in a larger group of participants, often comparing it with existing treatments. Phase IV trials take place after a treatment has been approved, continuing to monitor its long-term safety and effectiveness in everyday use. Both phases follow structured protocols reviewed and approved by an independent ethics committee before any participant is enrolled.

Participant Safety and Ethics

Every clinical trial conducted through Pace Clinical Research is reviewed by the Pranav Diabetes Center Ethics Committee, established in 2020, in line with CDSCO (DCGI) regulations, the New Clinical Trial Regulations and ICMR requirements, following the internationally recognised ICH-GCP guideline. Participation is entirely voluntary, and informed consent is obtained from every participant before enrolment.

Who Can Take Part

Eligibility for any given clinical trial depends on that trial’s specific protocol, such as the type of diabetes, current treatment, and overall health status. If you are interested in learning whether a current study may be relevant to you, our team can discuss eligibility on a case-by-case basis.
